7th / 8th Chorus & a Cappella concert
A reminder that there is a choral concert for 7th grade, 8th grade and a Cappella Tuesday, March 28th at Nipmuc High School. The students arrive by 6:15 in concert dress and the performance begins at 7pm.

We will still accept paper copies but we hope that you will find our online registration process much easier than filling out the traditional paper form! Copies will still be available in the newsstand of the Miscoe Hill lobby and it is also posted on Miscoe Hill website under the Parents drop down, Enrichment Programs.
Lost and Found
Students are encouraged to stop by the lost and found area across from the cafeteria if they are missing any items. Parents and Guardians are welcome to come and look also but please check in at the office first upon arrival.
The 7th Annual MURTA Run For Their Future 5k and Kids' Fun Run will be held on Sunday, April 9 at Nipmuc Regional High School. Proceeds from the event go to scholarships for high school seniors. Class of 2021 T-shirts
The semi formal committee will be selling "Class of 2021" t-shirts (gray shirts with green lettering) during 8th grade lunch on Thursday and Friday. Please let your child know so they can be prepared to purchase one if they want.

We are pleased to announce that final Miscoe Hill Makers event will be held on Thursday, March 30th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. In a slight change, Miscoe Makers will be held at Nipmuc Regional High School in accordance with the iFair.
This month's maker challenge will be LED Throwie project that will culminate in a display at the iFair. The cost for this event is $35 per team of student and parent and $45 for 2 students and one parent. The cost includes materials and a pizza dinner. Space is limited to 50 teams. Families can register by clicking here and sending a check made out to MURSD to the Miscoe Hill main office. Please note, registration is not complete until payment is received.
8th Grade Semi Formal Permission
The dance for 8th graders is a special Miscoe Hill tradition that marks the final celebration of the end of middle school and the beginning of a new chapter. Please complete the attached permission slip and return it to Principal Meyer by Monday, April 3rd. Please include donation checks with the returned permission slips. Please see Mrs. Meyer if any assistance is needed.
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! The Home of the Braves Newspaper Club is starting production for their spring issue. The Newspaper Club will encourage young journalists and other students interested in learning about the production and process of creating a newspaper. Students will explore various aspects of journalism such as photography, editing, layout, design, creative writing, and more. Students will be encouraged to talk with community and school leaders and will report on important issues/topics for middles school students. The club will meet right after school and end at 4:00 p.m. It starts on Thursday, March 30th and will go until Thursday, May 11th. Please sign the form and give it to Ms. Arnold in the library. The Mendon-Upton Regional School District is pleased to announce the date for its 3rd annual Community iFair. The iFair will be held on Thursday, March 30th. Sessions will run between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and will feature student demos, hands-on learning activities, and insider technology tips for all members of the community. More details will follow in the weeks ahead, so mark your calendars to save the date! Jim Grant's golf tournament fundraiser benefiting the Mendon/Upton Schools, Athletic Programs, Youth Athletic Programs and Nipmuc Warriors Booster Club will be held this year on Monday, May 15th at Hopedale Country Club. This year's tournament will be in honor of Linda Varney who has been so generous to the athletic programs for the past 40 years. If you can help in any way it would be much appreciated. 8th Grade Course Selection for 9th Grade
Please be aware that school counselors from Nipmuc Regional High School will visit eighth graders at Miscoe Hill on Tuesday afternoon (3/21) in order to begin the course selection process. Counselors will meet with students to explain the different levels of courses, elective options that are available to them as freshmen, and the beginning steps of planning their four years of high school. During Tuesday's meeting, counselors will provide students with an overview of the elective classes that are available to them. We ask that you discuss this information with your child and submit his/her requested courses by completing this form. Please be aware that the deadline to complete this scheduling request form is March 31.

- Levels of courses at Nipmuc (College Post Secondary, Honors, Advanced Placement)
- The course selection/registration sheet
- Program of Studies
- Course recommendations that have been entered by Miscoe’s teachers into iPass

Nipmuc’s school counselors will hold open office hours for students and parents to visit the school and ask any questions about the registration process or the student experience at Nipmuc. Office hours with the counselors will be held at Nipmuc on March 27 from 3pm-5pm & 6pm-8pm in the Nipmuc School Counseling office. M.E.S.S. Miscoe Elective Student Showcase
Come and see the amazing work our students are doing in their Art, Technology, Language and Library electives. Tuesday, April 11th 6pm-8pm. Please see the attached flyer.
Miscoe Hill yearbooks are available to be ordered for $35, ($45 if you want it personalized). Go to http://www.coffeepond.com and click on the grey box “Order Yearbooks”. You will then be prompted to type in the password: Miscoe2017 and choose On-Line Order. This will take you to Miscoe Hill’s yearbook ordering page. Once there, simply complete the order form and use your credit card to pay for your yearbook(s). Please note that the absolute deadline to order yearbooks is May 1st, 2017. Please be sure to place your orders before then.
7th & 8th grade Math Tutor
